East Side Self Storage is looking to fill the position of PART TIME STORAGE SPECIALIST

We are conveniently located, as you would expect, on the East side of Winnipeg - near Dugald and Plessis

You are a dynamic office professional who has an entrepreneurial spirit and who thrives on customer service (both internal and external).

If you are looking to break out of the status quo by joining a company where you will have the authority and freedom to put your stamp on the organization …….. this may be the place for you. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Selling storage units both in person and over the phone
  • Answering telephone calls by the second ring in a courteous and inviting manner
  • Handling tenant inquiries using proprietary tenant management software
  • Receiving tenant payments – processing credit /debit cards
  • Have tenants complete tenancy agreements, application forms and payment authorization forms
  • Keeping the office and storage site in pristine clean condition, which includes mopping floors, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning up garbage.
  • Outside seasonal yard work which includes shoveling, salting, landscaping, and small repairs
  • Assisting customers in a friendly manner
  • Ensure storage units are clean and in rentable condition

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in written/oral communication (writing, planning, editing, formatting) in the English language
  • Must have high degree of computer literacy in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point)+ Social Media Skills
  • Strong keyboarding skills (min of 40 WPM)
  • Good knowledge of general business issues
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Must be alert and resourceful and be able to interact with a cross section of individuals
  • Positive and Outgoing – interacts in a socially engaging manner
  • Strong drive to help others
  • Trustworthy, and able to perform with a lack of supervision
